LJMU ITT Placement : PGCE Primary 5-11 : Returning to Mentoring

Welcome back and thank you for returning to mentor our LJMU student teachers. As a returning mentor, you are familiar with our LJMU ITE curriculum and therefore need to complete a 6-hour refresher training this academic year. This is eligible for DfE funding (see DfE guidance). Refresher mentor development will be live and online. The dates have been provided in advance and equate to 6 hours mentor training. The mentor training will be completed before the 31st May 2027 training window for DfE funding claims.

Live Training

This training is held online and Teams links will be sent via the Programme Leader on weekly Mentor Memos. These are also housed in section B. This phase specific training and development will form the basic training offer for all our LJMU General Mentors and will helps us to support student teachers as they progress through their programmes.
