The revised DfE Teachers’ Standards 2012 operational give providers of initial teacher training increased flexibility in the way they design their programmes, and encourage the use of professional judgement in the assessment of student teachers against them.

In this section:

All student teachers at LJMU are assessed against the ITE Curriculum designed for their programme.

All student teachers who fully achieve the ITE Curriculum by the end of their programme will be recommended for QTS, as they will have achieved Part One and Part Two of the Teachers’ Standards by the end of their programme.
